At Elite Protection Services, our uniform services command our greatest efforts and serve as the example of professional security officers that others in the industry endeavor to emulate. Our uniform services are built on a foundation of recruitment, communication, training and supervision.
RECRUITMENT
Mr. John R. Murray is Elite Protection's Director of Human Resources. Mr. Murray has been with Elite Protection Services for eight years. He started as an officer working in a gatehouse and worked his way up through the ranks to his current position. In his tenure Mr. Murray served as the Deputy Director of Security (Captain) for Frenchman's Creek as well as the Director of Security for our Mirasol and Mirabella accounts.
He is charged with recruiting, training and bringing on board the finest candidates available. Through interviewing, testing and background checking Mr. Murray turns away seven out of ten candidates for positions at Elite.
What does that do for us? It creates the first block in our foundation of uniform services. In addition to holding the required State of Florida licenses, each candidate is carefully screened to insure that the officer we hire is the best officer available to join the Elite team.
Some of our best officers have been recruited by our active employees. At Elite we have a generous finder fee program to reward our employees for brining in prospective employees and to reward the new candidate.
In addition, we offer our employees many individual benefits of employment. Our benefit package is unparalleled in the security industry.
No one beats Elite's benefit package.
COMMUNICATIONS
Communications is the second block of the foundation of our uniformed services. At Elite we are vitally interested in what our clients expect from our uniformed security officers.
Once we have determined our client's needs and expectations we custom design programs to insure that all of our client's security needs are being taken care of.
We have created a 'Quality Points' program based on the principles of the psychology school of behaviorism. Together with our clients we identified seventeen behaviors that exemplify the behaviors that the most professional security officer would exhibit.
Taking that data into consideration we created a generous rewards system reinforcing the desired behavior. This program effectively shapes the behavior of our uniformed personnel into the best performing officers available in the industry.
In addition, each client receives a 'Quality Assurance' survey quarterly. We want to know how we are doing and afford our clients many opportunities to tell us.
Each of our sites are assigned a corporate officer to oversee the operation and be available to our clients twenty-four hours a day. We believe that communication between our clients and the corporate office and our site directors is of vital importance.
SUPERVISION
Another link of equal importance is communication between our supervisors and our uniformed service officers which leads us to the third block in the foundation of superior uniformed services.
At each site we have a carefully selected site director. Each director must have extensive criminal justice or security management experience. All of our directors are educated individuals who possess multifaceted organization, administrative and human relations skills.
These security professionals operate their sites through a chain of command which includes captains, lieutenants, sergeants and corporals.
We also have a roving corporate night supervisor whose duties are to augment the supervisory endeavors of the site directors. These corporate officers stop at each site, every night and conduct inspections.
It has been our experience that our night supervisors ensure that level of operation our site directors and clients expect twenty-four hours a day.
At Elite we consider supervision everyone's responsibility. As a result of this philosophy we have established our 'Management Supervisory Rotation.'
This program assigns all of our top management people, from the vice president on down to visit a specific number of sites each week. The program has several benefits.
All of our senior management gain a knowledge of what is developing at all of our sites and our site personnel realize that we are a company dedicated to reaping the benefits of vigorous supervision.
TRAINING
The final block in the foundation of our uniformed services personnel is training. All site directors have site specific training programs aimed at those matters germane to their specific site.
In addition, each employee receives corporate generated training and safety bulletins addressing current safety and security procedures and trends.
At Elite we also have a corporate training officer who is responsible to visit each site and assess training needs. Once the assessment is accomplished he custom designs a training program to insure all of our training needs are met.
As needs mandate Elite conducts training seminars for all of its managers. These seminars take place a local hotels, away from the work place where organization, management and administrative trends can be discussed and training needs addressed
Our uniformed officers, standing on the above described foundation serve as the industry standard.
Whether the officer is doing access control, radio motor patrol, marine patrol or cart patrol our clients realize that the officer working on their property is the result of a well-designed and directed program of personnel management and is the best officer available to supply their security needs.
